Well so I finally got my parts ordered in to rebuild my top end finally and get some power back. i bought a wiseco piston, and tomorrow i'm having my cylinder bored to fit the piston, i am going .04 over, if i'm correct this brings it to a 240? i dunno, well anyway, i wanted to go bigger, but i was informed that if you go too big then it won't make much of a difference. is this true? what are your thoughts on putting in bigger sized pistons?

i think it will make it like a 196cc mabe, dosent give anymore power, u should go the smallest over bore as possible for future rebuilds, there is other ways to get noticble power gains, u should know this with the port and polish thats in your sig

inorder to go to a 240cc you would have to go to 72mm, and the only way to do that is to get a different cylinder. A stock cylinder can only go to 68.25,like 89 said you are going to waste you cylinder life if you bore it more over than necessary.

If its your first rebuild you should just hone it an go back .STD bore.

***a 240 big bore head,vitos,phantom7 etc... is diffrent then just "wholloing" out your stock cylinder***

The Cylinder is like a cat, kinda....you only got 9 lifes to live, so why jump from first to six!!
