I have been having some issues with bogging and breaking up in the lower 1/4 rpm range and not being able to pull gears above 3rd.

My blaster and Darederek's blaster are almost exactly the same only difference is he has 21 inch tires and mine are 22's. The compression is also exactly the same at 120 psi. Here are some videos of me riding both of our quads on the same areas and showing how much better his is running.

Video of the breaking up. Everytime i hit the gas again it is full throttle and it bogs alot and breaks up but its kinda hard to hear. This is in third gear.

leakdown and plugchop results?

No leaks, Don't currently have the plugs to do a plug chop, gonna get them for next weekend but we both have the exact same setup, Fmf Fatty and Shortied PowerCore 2 Silencer. No airbox lid, foam filter, and 290 jet, everything else stock. Only difference is the tires.

so after a leakdown test and a plug chop what do you think?

did it act funny before/after this?

what kind of weather change was there?

I haven't had mine long enough for to really tell, I have been fixing stuff since day 1. It has ran like this since I have had it running and I thought it was going good but now that DareDerek got his pipe I realise something is not right. There was no weather change we are comparing the same setup on the same day within 5 minutes of eachother

it dont make sense tho... they are the same quads with the same bore size, piston, compression, reeds, pipe, air filter, heck they even both have shortied silencers. so with the carbs setup the same they should run the same... like we said only difference engine wise is he has 22 inch rear tires and i have 21's. we didnt do a proper chop but the plug looked pretty good

doesn't matter, different motors will like different things. classic example of why we always so you ALWAYS HAVE TO CHECK. we can get you in the neighborhood but you have to fine tune it.

we'll have to check next weekend i guess like i said the plug looked fine. but we can try that and his 20 inch tires will probably help a little too

Even identical twins aren't exactly the same. Is fine light, medium, or dark brown? Wet or dry? See where I'm going? New plug? Exact same gas, oil, and mixture ratio? Ohmn coil and plug cap. Cut 1/4 inch off plug wire. Fiddle with air screw , needle. Might even have to change jets.Check all conections and grounds, clean bare metal. Carb clean? I:I

medium brown. slightly wet, just right. brand new plug. same gas 87 octane with castor 927 at 32:1. didnt check coil or cap. if we cut another 1/4 off the plug wire it wont reach it barely reaches now. gonna try some lower jets next weekend need to check where needle is. all grounds and connections only have like 2 rides on them.. k i think i answered it all

if its slightly wet, it'd be too rich for my taste, but i run a little closer to the edge than a lot of guys

umm im pretty sure a lil oil on the threads is good. wouldnt dry plug mean dry engine? its not soaked by any means just some residue in the threads

a little oil is ok, i thought you meant wet with fuel, in which case is way rich.

you are asking a lot of that little motor running 14/40 gearing and 22's. but mine would pull it with my 220lb (at the time) ass on it

mine pulls him with 14/40 and 21's... does 1 inch make that big of a difference? if so then he has 20's at home that hes just waiting on rims for so that should fix it
