Blown motor?

hey guys, ok so my buddy has a rm 125 and we went out for a ride the first time he got it and he forgot to check the oil, after we got a couple miles it started making a pinging sound, so he turned it off and and started it and the pinging noise was still there, any ideas? he doesnt have enough money to get any new bike and i want to go back out and hes one of my only riding buddys that can stay with me, so any help would be great, Thanks guys:-D

my blaster has had that pinging noise for 4months and its still fine

some times it wont kick over either though, but after a while it does but it takes a while

didnt check the oil???? rm125 2 stroke?? should be pre mixed.. or did he pull a re re and pull the tank and didnt mix oil?

Mine makes a pinging noise, almost like it's hiccuping in water, but usually only after running it really hard at full throttle, i think it's due to rich jetting, on my bigger carb it still runs just a little rich at full throttle, but it only does it when my motor gets really hot and immediately goes down to an idle, but if i rev it a few times after stopping from full throttle it doesn't hiccup, almost like it just needs to burn the extra fuel dumped in.
