Blew up the motor in the snow today :(

we cant tell you, it all depends on your elevation, average temperature, and humidity.
its a trial and error process.

loosen the clamps on your carb and push the top down so the bottom of it is facing you.
now take off that huge nut on the bottom, you will then see a shiny brass head, remove it just like a regular bolt, just be careful with it, now read the side of it, idk what blasters run around, but i had a 160 in my rm125, go up to go richer, which is what you want to do, colder air = more condensed = more air in the cylinder, so you will need more fuel to compensate. so buy new jets, they are sold in intervals of 2 and 5, buy one 5 bigger than the one you have, and buy one 10 bigger. example: if you have a 120 buy a 125 and a 130. you are buying a main jet by the way. be careful when putting these jets in, get them bottomed out, but not too tight! they are brass and will strip before you know it. it should run alot better after you do this, there are more jets to change, but the main jet gets you in the ballpark enough, your not going to notice much of a difference if you do everything.
to test this, run your blaster full throttle through all your gears, while in full throttle, without letting off, pull in the clutch and kill it, do not start it after this! now pull out your plug, and look at the insulator (the white part) if it is tan or greyish, you are perfect, if it is black, you are running rich, you need a smaller jet, and if it is white and flaking you are running lean, you need to up a jet size.
good luck

You get 4 rep points for that. thanks for the good, thoughtful answer. I:I

Alrite im gona try that thanks bro

do you have any mods? the blaster runs a 230 stock jet and a 35.5 pilot jet, i live in wa and i am in the midst of doing mine up to a 270, you can buy a kit off ebay called dyno jets, i think it runs from a 260-290, but i would start out with a 260 and go up from there, remember after you replace the jets play with the air fuel mixture and check your plug black/brown too rich, whitish too lean, i have a 1/2" reed spacer and vitos carbon flex reeds,v force( christmas!!) a lrd exhaust(christmas) meaning i haven't got them yet.

i got a fmf sst system, k&n filter, getin vforce 3's for xmas nd new sprockets w/ chain but i got it rejeted bfore winter for that exhaust nd i think it was to 270

how does the fmf system sound? does it change the sound of the quad at all, i am looking into an lrd exhaust, heard it was one of the best? yeah if i was you go up to a 290, if that doesn't work go to 310

go for the lrd it blows the fmf outta the water and an fmf gives a little deeper sound than stock, i owned one before my vitos... and im not going back :-D
