blaster won't run

ok i have the full lrd exhasut, keihin 34mm carb pw, v force 3 reed cage, 1/2" spacer, k &n off the back of carb. it won't run unless throttle is given, choked or unchoked, it bogs when you try and run it and put it in first. it has 152 main just put a 48 pilot in it, air fuel screw does nothing. had a 60 pilot in it before, tried to asdjust at thumb throttle, nothing. good compression. no lag in the kick start. i think i covered everything. thanks:">

im sure someone else can give you a better idea of whats wrong but i had that same kind of bogg down effect when i first got mine and i cleaned the carb and all that jazz and still nothing so i took it to the shop and all they fixed was the stator. maybe thats your problem?

what did they do to the stator?

took out the old one (some bs about the rust on it was making it not work =))) and i got a new Ricky Stator put in. maybe you need to adjust the stator? again i dont know for sure man not an authority but the probs sounded similar

what kind of mods do you have?

as far as i know ive got a fresh rebuild with a Wiseco piston cranks etc bored .40 over and not sure what size carb (mikuni). getting someone to look at it next weekend to tell me for sure. seen one of the guys on here that on his list of mods he has +5 next to the stator so maybe you'd have to adjust it?

i think thats what i might do, i will do a 4 deg advance, it is really pissing me off though, dammit! all i want to do is ride it. i will probably take it to the shop this week. if you know anyone that might be able to help my problem let them know of this forum.

im having similar problems but mine cranks when pushed or pulled off on a fresh rebuild 240 motor wid 38 mill carb v force reeds and stock exhaust

id say it has to be air mixture. mine does gf did that and all i did was adjust the air mixture

im having very similar problems it gets spark and fuel it tries to fire with no luck wont even fire with starter fluid we pushed it down the road and dropped it in gear and it wanted to start it actually ran for a few seconds but at very low rpms not enough to keep it running any suggestions
