this has happened a couple times on dirtbikes where the crankshaft moves backwards instead of forward and you can go all the gears backwards! its rarely happened
2 strokes can run backwards because they dont have all the unnecesary junk 4 strokes have-valves, camshafts......... all you do is push it in reverse and pop in gear. but i dont recomend for stock oil injection blasters, because if its reversed it will suck in air instead of inject oil, i would think it would seize, the whole reverse on a blaster is a theory everyone tals about, i guess its real but i havnt seen it. i havnt seen reverse on any 2 stroke ever why is that???
exactly, what are 2 strokes mostly used for? racing right! then by leaving out all the reverse junk you save 5 or 10 lbs, same with kick start verses electric start!!!!
2 strokes rock even tho i stooped to get a 450 to start racing i still rock my blasty in 0-200 2stroke(12-15) n college boy (16-24) on my dads banshee----- 2 strokes will and always rule [until the enviro freeks have u put in jail for using them]

It's very possible and easily done. Either pop start it goin backwards or over advance the timing. With the timing all wrong you kick it normally and it will kick back and run backwards. NOT RECOMENDED.
Some 2 stroke Polaris snow mobiles have reverse. You have to turn it off, hit the reverse button and re-start. The starter turns backwards and tada your motor starts in reverse.

back when i had my 89 250 moto4(4 stroke), if you wiggled the forward/reverse shifter in the right spot you could drive in reverse AND shift through gears in reverse. dont know how this worked, asumed it wasnt good for it but it was a beater anyways lol. can anyone elxplain this?

I fixed a loose magnet on my magneto, since i put it back together i cant get the bike NOT to run in reverse..... now whay?

ok, i found out, looks like the vito's Degree key I put in might. be sheered. so i have to take of the darn magneto again...
I found The cause on this weird problem,
One of the magnets on the magneto was broken, that caused a phase shift in the magnetic field. Hence the timing problem.
Replace the magneto, Boom. it works

yeah ive had like a zillion golfcarts. all you do is turn the key the oppisite way/flick a switch and you hit the gas, and your going backwards.
