My Blaster will not start. I was riding it a few days ago and it started idling very high. I stopped riding and thought I would adjust the idle the next day. Now it will not start. It has good spark. What do you think?

Do a compression test. Anything under 100 won't start. Do a leakdown test BEFORE you pull the cylinder off. If the compression is over 100, look in the tank and see if there's any gas in it.

I got it. I read another thread and adjusted the air mixture screw. It was closed shut? Vibration I guess....

My buddy has a 300EX. He wanted to race. I spanked him!!!

I have never known an air screw to vibrate closed, could some have been playing tricks on you?

High idle is a sign of an air leak!

Idle speed adjusting.

Set float level, make sure that all jets are clean and fuel flows freely from the float bowl drain when the screw is cracked open.

Start with air screw 1.5 turns out.

Set idle screw so that it has some sort of idle. With TORS it is the big screw under seat on top of unit. With no TORS is is the brass screw midway down carb body.

Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a faster idle, 2000rpm+

Adjust air screw either way to get the fastest idle.

Adjust air screw a little at a time leaving 10 secs or until the motor responds.

Re adjust idle screw for desired idle .
