how long does the blaster have to warm up before you can ride? asking because when i first start is up it usually dont like to move to fast, it sounds like its trying to go but it moves slowly almost as if the engine was getting flooded. but soon as it warms up it will run like a champ.

i dont know if this is normal or not?

mabey im losing compretion, or mabey the carb isnt tuned right or mabey im just paranoid.

it all depends on the temp. if its less then 30 out i let mine warm up for like 7 min or more and when i first ride it i go easy on it for about 2 min and then start to get on it

oh really couse when its cold here and we go riding i just start it up with the choke and then just ride and after about 30 seconds with the choke on i just reache down(will still moving at fast pace) and push it off..its that simple for me

a good rule of thumb is to feel the exhaust coming out of the silencer, at first itll be cold for a minute or two, when it blows out warm u r good to go

thanks for the fast replies, i feel better now. for a minute ther i thought ther could of been a problem with it.

i always warmed my '96 up, till i couldnt hold my hand on the head, bought it brand new and i had it for 8 yrs., and never did a thing to the motor, not even rings, it still had the oil injection when i sold it, it only ever had 2 plugs in it, never smoked and ran like new, always, and i did it all, from puttin around to kickin its ass <<<(mostly), warming it up properly is the key to making a 2 stoke last
