hey, i just bought a 2002 yamaha blaster and i was riding it and it lost all its power, and i stopped and tryed to kick it over and it would catch and shut off, thet i checked the plug and i was a black color (full of carbon) and i cleaned it and put it back in and same result, so i thought it was the gas and when i looked my idler screw was missing yet i was riding it for a couple days, and it ran fine except when it was idling, now it wont start:( does any one know if i have the motor blown or something else

push on the kick starter with your hand, and see how easy you can push it over like your kicking it. It will have easy then harder, easy then harder spots in it, but the overall motion, is it fairly easy to push or not? Or do a compression test on it.

Are you sure the screw was missing for awhile? If so, some dirt, gravel, etc may have gotten in it, or it may have leaned it out and damaged it.

Were you going hard when it stopped, or just putting around?
