Blaster speed

mine did 56 bone stock, now im curoius as to what it will do with a port, milled head, 3mm stroker, reeds, and a carb. should be interesting will update when i get it running

my blaster hits just over 100kmh gets up to it fast i want more speed.Thats all we do here DRAG RACING all the time and trail ride.

Its not really what you have all done to your motor it has more to do with the tires and sprockets that you are running. The motor is just going to get you there at a more resonable time and with less effort for the more motor that you have. For intstance if you have a stock motor there is no way that you could run a 35 or a 34 rear cause you just dont have enough motor to run that small of a rear sprocket. So if your running a mildly modded motor than stick with 14/40 or maybe go down one in the rear also. But going up one tooth in the front is equall to taking three from the rear.

Actually, I think it has a lot to do with the motor... as you later tell us that a stock motor can NOT run a 34 rear.... with all my mods I'm pretty confident i could hit close to 70

sweet thanks for all the help guys am probily going to go up 2 or 1 tooth in front sproket, i just got done boring it .60 over so i think i would have enough power and i have a kenith carb and much more.

agreed. goin 0.060" over didn't do jack sh*t for your power. you prob didn't even gain 1hp from it. i mean it takes a 195cc motor and makes it like a 198cc or 199cc right?
the keihin prob added WAY more juice to your bike than the overbore did. hopefully you did it cuz you blew the rings and not cuz you thought it would give you power.
with your mods, i'd say you def don't wanna go 2 over in the front sprocket. one over will be about all you wanna do.
also, top speed is dictated largely by your engine's rev limits. a 2stroke's rev limitation is dictated primarily by the exhaust height. if you want a lot of top speed then sprockets and tires are first, but a port job favoring top end is def just as important. imo

Ive got a question i have a 91 and im told it has a racing pistion in it and bored 20 over and jetted and i know it has 13/40 gearing and it will do 60 and im looking into more speed, any sugestions?

... mods to your motor wont change your top end speed unless your motor will rev out higher... mods will make you get to your top speed faster..
a engine is a big air pump.. it sucks air in and pumnps it out.. mods to your motor make that air pump more efficiant there for reving master and making more power... which wont change your top end speeed... gearing and fires will change your speeed.... like in a car.. if you have 410 rear end gears its gonna accel like mad, but not as much top end speed if you go to 355 gears it will loos accel but gain top end speed...

sooo if you want more mpg.. go 14t front and 38 gear.. running taller tires also wil add to your mph but you will lose some acel speed......

and cody sayin a stock blaster or mild wont turn a 34t is because it just dont have the power levels needed to utilis that kind of gearing... yeah you could do it but it will take so much power from the motor to get it to accel that your 200cc will feel like a honda trail 90 mini bike

concerning the motor ..anything that increases the rpms will allow it to make more peak mph with same gearing and tires ,use a topspeed gearing calculatar it wil l show you what i m talking about . for instance on a banshee without porting with decent midrnage pipes like t5 or procircuits the stock gearing and tires will put a average person around 71 -72 mph topped out ..now after a good port job and lightned flywheel GPS confirms that exact same bike will hit 78-80 mph on the same level road stretch

Top speed is more in the gear ratio then anything else, of course if you don't have the motor to pull the gears then it's not very fun.
It's a package deal.
