Blaster probs

i am posting this due to this used blaster i swapped some subs and amp for. it wouldnt fire so i trace it back to the flywheel and stators, the clutch all at the same time. i ordered the parts and had it fixed. got it back couple of weeks later and drove about 30 mins then it lost compression due to a leak in the exhaust the mechanic says it put a whole in the piston. bored the jug and bought new top end rebuild kit. i finally get it back yesterday and went to drive now it today and it only goes in reverse. ??? HELP ME!!!???
 
oh this has happened before, its when i belive you timing is way off and it started it up and the crank is turning backwards. there for reverse haha.
dont quote me on this but that might be the problem.
 
so when you start it, and ptu it in gear it goes in revers?
you can shift threw all gears in reverse?
check your timing plate to see if its not upside down
 
you my friend have a sheered woodruf key, it sheared off allowing the flywheel to go 180 out of time, thus revursing the motors rotation
 
you will need a flywheel puller, or if your good you can use a prybar to pry on it and tap it with a hammer, be carefull prying agenst the cases they will crack
 
im not sure if it is sheered off but i had to replace the old magnito and the key is like stuck and rusted. i dont have the tools now to do the job but i will tomorrow and when i take this flywheel off how will i get the key out?
