blaster no top end

Here's 3 more things that will cause what is happening.

1. Air screw screwed all the way in. Should be set at 1.5 turns out from lightly seated position.

2. Piston in backwards. I have seen this happen. Runs like chit and won't rev. Easy way to check it is pop off the reeds and see if the intake windows line up. Arrow should point to the exhaust (front side of the motor)

3. Dirty air filter. Try to take the air filter off and see if it clears up. Do not run it long without the filter on.

let it warm up till the muffler is warm to the touch. just did leak test two days ago been having the problem for months

Not hot enough for either warm up or idle adjusting, even too cool for heat cycling.

The motor must be up to operating temperature before you adjust idle or ride it hard.

it only ran good once sisce I rebuilt the motor I installed a new coil ran it had plenty of power put it away and the next time I ran it, it was acting up again tried different coils and cdi boxes without any luck. I think it might me the magneto

^^^ shows that piston is in correct. Check that all connections are clean and tight. Won't hurt to add dielectric grease to them. Check that grounds are clean and tight. Coil mount must be bare metal.
Ohm check coil and cap, specs are in manual. If you have TORS unplug it if pre 03, if 03& up search how to disable. Check all switches for proper resistance.

BTW, you can ohm the stator to determine if it's good or not.

has 110 psi compression.Piston is in correctly. To get it to idle not so fast I have to choke it or have air screw out only a half turn.Seems to be pressurizing the gear case when running it leaks past drain plug which doesn't leak when it isn't running. Have to find my manual so I can see if I damaged a seal when I put it back together.

do you think a leaking crank shaft seal could cause the problem? Its sealed behind the crank case cover. I think it would be smoking way more than it is and oil foul the plug if it was that

Leave the air screw at 1.5 turns

Turn down the idle screw on top of the TORs, go left a quarter turn and see how it idles. Dont run it all the time with the choke on...

Damaged crank oil seal it is.

Leak test and see if bubbles appear from the tranny breather hose when immersed in a jar of fluid.

It is a double seal it can let pressure out without letting oil in.

leak test held 9 psi for 7 min didn't leak out of drain plug or vent tube.
tonight I did a continuity test on the electrical sys cleaned all connections sanded the grounds and put dielectric grease on the connections still has no top end it acts like it is starving for gas

Are you sure the carb and jets are clean? If it sat for a long time you might have to run a torch cleaner through them.
