Hello everyone,

I like to buy a Yamaha Blaster but I have some questions.
Yesterday I was going to look for a second hand Blaster.
There was a problem, the Blaster leaks oil between the motor and the cylinder.
When I was there, I saw that the seller did the oil in the motor completely full, the oil was overflowing.
I asked somebody I know and he said it will be solved when I empty the oil in the motor and then I fill it with 0,65l of good oil. He sais there is too much oil in the motor and that there is an overflow between the motor and the cylinder. From there (the overflow) the oil leakage comes according to him.

Do you all also think this?

Thank you! :)

guy doesnt know what he is talking about... 650ml of oil in the tranny and it is not connected to the crankcase or cylinder. if it is you have a problem. take a drain the oil and put in 650ml and see what it does. the oil you see between the cylinder and bottom end may be coming from the exhaust flange at the front of the motor. it looks like it a lot of times. or it could be coming from the vent for the tranny?

Too much oil in the gearbox will cause oil to be expelled through the breather pipe when the motor gets hot.
The end of the breather pipe is usually under the tank, above to motor.

Over filling the gearbox can cause the gear oil to be pressurized and enter the crankcase through the gear side crank seal.

You will know if this is happening as it will blow foul smelling white smoke from the exhaust when it gets hot.

Do I understand it good?
When I do too much oil in the gearbox, there will be compression.
The oil will be compressed to the exhaust pipe where it smokes.

So if I empty the transmission oil, and do new good oil in it and the good quantity (0,65 liter) the problem will be solved and there won't come more oil out???

Too much oil is bad. Drain the gear box and fill with 0.65l of 10 w 30 oil, which contains no friction modifiers.

If there is a black spoogy oil seeping out where the exhaust pipe goes in this is normal.

Dude where you from? With a name like Wouter, you could be South African!
What the mean is if there is too much oil in gearbox it will be expeld at the breather pipe. OR i'v the oilseal is shot between the gearbox and motor, it could get in the motor and then you will see white smoke.'
Try emptying the oil, put in new(650ml) and see what happens!
