Recently my blaster quit and wouldnt start, so i took the carb off and its all clean and i took the reed cage off and found a cracked reed so i put new boisen reeds in it. Now it runs but once i hit the powerband it hesitates and dosent really do anything. Not quite sure what to do. Heard the tors could cause prblems? please give some ideas.

I'll check but i dont think so cause it ran fine a few days ago. Its almost running like its not warmed up, but it obviously was cause i rode for like 30 minutes to be positive.

How are the reeds sitting on the cage? Everything look good? Stock carb? May need to rejet. Have you tried pulling the choke and seeing if it ran better up top?

I actually just put new reeds in and they sat fine, ill have to try pulling the choke thanks!

It is a common problem when fitting new reeds, you may have caused an air leak in the cage or boot area.

The gasket areas should be coated with a little RTV sealant and tensioned diagonally and incrementally to 5.8ft lb otherwise the cage or carb boot may warp and cause an air leak.
