Blaster engine oil question?

i've used the castrol 2 stroke when in a pinch, when only advanced auto was open, but only in my sons, basically stock motor, black blaster
mine gets Maxima superM, or it's stays in the garage and i ride the black one

If it is an oil designed to run in air cooled 2 stroke motor cycle engines, then go for it.

Read the bottle info carefully to see if it is for motorcycles.

Motorcycles will be subjected to sudden temperature changes, due to riding through water, mud ,ect, and reqiure a different oil than chain saws, mowers and weed eaters.

On reading some reports the guys that recommend this oil seem to be all using the oil in light aircraft engines, which are designed to run at a constant temp.

I only ever use Maxima 927, it's not cheap, but in my opinion it is good.

oh okay well usually i only run klotz but i seen this stuff at the store and it says good for 2 stroke air cooled engines so i minght just use that

I think we all have bought the off the shelf stuff in a pinch.
My opinion is our 2 strokes aren't getting any younger and aren't produced anymore.
A piston chance cost almost as much as a cheap string trimmer or chainsaw.
Guys should be prolonging their bores, pistons, and rings as long as possible.
The extra $1 or 3 spent on good oil is money in the bank in the long run.
Run your smoker at 32:1, jet accordingly and enjoy the powerband while you still can.

There is a distinct difference between an air cooled industrial type engines that use cowlings to cool them, such as mowers, weedeaters and chainsaws.

The oil designed for them are not subject to extreme temp changes or punishment that a motor cycle engine will give them.

An oil designed for motorcycles should be used.

Dollars saved now could be many dollars spent later.

Play it safe Bro spend that extra dollar on some good oil.
