I bought a 99 blaster that had absolutely no compression. so i rebuilt the top end and put in super stock reeds. It is bored .080 and the back of the stock silencer has been taking completely off. This thing has nothing near the power that it should my 88 blaster thats completely stock smokes it. So i figure its in the carb but i have never messed with jetting or tuning a carb. It doesnt cut out or hesitate, just has very little throttle response and is lacking hp that it should have. The oil pump has been tooken off the quad and i am pre mixing at 32:1 at the moment but tried 40:1 with about the same engine performance. i have no idea if a jet kit has ever been put into the carb, just would like to get a good starting point for a jet with a .080 bore, and maybe some tuning help. Thanks

i would pull the carb apart and give it a good cleaning and take a look at the jets. if your all stock other then .080 over bore then you shouldn't need to up the main much prolly 5 or 10. you should have a 25 pilot and a 230 main maybe up it to a 235?. and have a look at your needle see what clip its on.
