I have an 05 blaster that I am rebuiling and while I was removing the crank shaft oil seal I accidentally scored the case where the oil seal it self goes I have pics. I just need to knoe if im in the clearView attachment 20130520_221107.jpg
what did you use to remove it? just a pick and you scratched it you should be just fine with some gasket sealent, now if you jammed a screw driver in there and rapped the thing that's another issue...
Anyhow pics no work for me either. IF you have a Dremal, use that, or small file, or fine emery/crocus cloth and remove high spots. I suggest 3bond or Yammabond for that area if not whole seal.
Highly suggest either Clymers Repair Manual or download manual, or just ask, might save lots of grief in the future.8-|
No Pic, but those sort of things can be tricky. If you attempt to clean it up, do it ever so gently with the mildest of tools possible. I suggest go with what Larry has recommended. But get that pic working. We all love to see damage
BTW, forgot to suggest taping bearing off to prevent contamination. Then clean area before removing tape. Gotta make this process Cro-mag proof from here on out 8-|
