Hi,
I have a 200cc 2000 Yamaha blaster. I have changed the spark plug, replaced the air filter, and done my best to clean it up. However, when I go to accelerate quickly it almost seems like it's not sucking enough fuel, especially when throttle is maxed, it also takes me a minute to reach top speed unlike my buddies blaster. Any thoughts on what it might be?
Thanks,

Check that fuel tank vent, petcock, and carb are clean. When you have carb apart, write down numbers of main and pilot jet.

Do you have any other mods than air filter?

No other modifications to quad, I cleaned the carb fairly well. I will look into the fuel vent and petcock as well when I get off work and let you know.
Thanks!

I cleaned the petcock and made sure fuel tank vent was getting air.

I am still having same problem. When I am accelerating quicky it will hiccup a few times then kick in and go, then when I go to next gear same thing. Thoughts?

What kind of filter did you get? Not stock ?
Did you record the jet numbers when you had carb apart?
Do you have lid or snorkle still on ?
