90' blaster. it started right up. when you would take your thumb of the throttle(sometimes) it would not come all the way done to idle.if you popped the clutch or turn the engine off than on it would go down to idle!! i took carb off cleaned and checked reeds.and filter all looked good.changed gas/oil (injecter taking off pre-mix 32:1) started it up and ran the same than it started back firing and will only start and run at 1/4 throttle. still has good compr. gets good spark and is gettig fuel. what are the 2 wires going to carb? they are still hooked up. please help i do not want to take this to the shop..only mods on bike is a filter.

i dont think so cause your getting spark.. i would start by turning air screw down 1/4 at a time give it some time to run each time.. also you can tune it under the seat on the top of the tors. if these two dont help jetting is your next step.. also check float level..

the overreving is prolly the fuel/air mixture is too rich and also remove your tors system, back fireing could be either a bad plug

nope, overrevving is usually caused be a lean mix. most likely an air leak somewhere. if the culprit isn't the jetting then you'll need to check and tighten your carb boots, float bowl, head nuts, base nuts and exhaust. if those are all good, then it could be a bad crank seal.
does the bike smoke a lot?
