autolube injection question???

hi i have ordered the oil block off kit and am im the process of taking the injection pump etc off. and i have run into a problem. the nuts on the right crank side to split the block are all stripped and CANT be taken off. i was wondering can i just leave the little thing that sicks out on? its the thing that you c wen u take off the actuall pump? and still just premix? thnks

can you be more specific are you talking about the pump screws inside the case or bolts on the case?

or the little plastic gear behind the pump

ya you take off the pump and you c a threaded metal thing that sticks out and two screws. and you have to split the engine to take off the gear behind the threded metal thing i was just talking about.

just disconnect the pump and take the plastic gear off and leave it in!! Your paying like $30 for a little plate! The pump wont hurt anything as long as its not running! (just my opinon!)

where is the plastic gear? it its behind the pump and actually in the engine i cant get to it.

just unhook every thing to the pump and it will be fine! just turn the motor over and watch the pump to make sure its not running! Just remeber to drain all your gas and put in your pre-mix before you start it back up!

You do not split the cases, just take off the clutch cover.
