only one way to put it "RAPTORS ARE CRAPTORS THEY ARE NOT AN ATV UNLESS ITS A 660 OR 700 ANYTHING BELOW TTHEM SUCK MAJOR 8=======D DIC*
I have to say, the raptor 250's are pretty sweet little machines compared to anything else in their class that's currently on the market. You don't get the cheap speed that the blaster did, but anybody that's rode one of the 250's should be able to admit that they are fun little rides, can be thrown around just as easily as a blaster, and the suspension is definitely more refined, not like riding a pogo stick. Sure, they're not the fastest thing, but look at their features vs any other 250 4 stroke sport. They've got a real clutch, chain drive, and they weigh less with far better suspension and frame.
But to whoever said that 4 stroke 250's can't take a beating, I have to say that my experience is definitely the opposite. My first quad was a 99 honda recon, same engine and frame and sh*t as the 250ex. We beat the living sh*t out of that thing, even took it to rausch creek and ran it on the motocross tracks. That thing would spend day at peak rpm, just barely off the rev limiter, and it never failed me. After about 5 years of constant abuse and maybe 3 oil changes in between it needed a top end rebuild and that's it. I can't say that for any other 250's, but the hondas can really take a beating.
Either way, a machine in this class really shouldn't be judged that harshly on all-out performance, if you're that concerned about performance that's why there are bigger better machines on the market. Bottom line is that machines in this class are aimed at beginners, something to ride for a couple years and have fun on, and get their skills tuned in before they get a bigger, faster machine.
screw you flyers you suck you put down the blaster
