Anyone made there own bumper?

i was thinking of using the stock one by cutting it down and welding some pipe to it. has anyone done this? if so post some pics and tell how you did it.

i didnt do it, but the previous owner did, pretty good job and i kinda liked the look better than my newer dg bumper, it stuck out further and seemed to protect from small trees better, pics in my albums, its the black one in the earlier pics

I would cut everything thing off the stock one so you just have the mounting part that bolts to the frame, then build whatever you want off that. my 2 cents
