Guy on craigslist is selling an 87 suzuki 230 quadsport for really cheap. Ive spent the last 45min looking for info but havent really found much. ANyone ever ridden one of these or know if its a 2 or 4 stroke? going to check it out tomorrow after work. Any help would be great..

Its a slow 4 stroke... I have ridden one before. If you have nothing to ride, it is something to ride.. other than that, I think you would get more enjoyment out of phucking a beach ball.

came across 2 of they 15 years ago in someones back yard.
got um real cheap with a trailer.
got the mice outa them and brought um back to life
worse thing i remember, was the kick starter kicked out, instead of back,
we had to get into this weird position to kick out, away from the bike.
they had a terribly short wheelbase, stiff as hell suspension and slow as dog,
they had a ton of tourque and would climb anything, as long as you werent in a rush.
if its cheap and all you can afford right now, go for it, you'll have fun, but will probably out grow it soon
i wouldnt pay over 300 for it, and at that it better be clean as hell

4 strokes, clutches are not the greatest, kickers dont kick front or back but kick out away from the bike....kinda a PITA. good bikes for what they were years back, alot out there yet but parts getting harder to find. if it runs good id buy it for a good 4 stroke trail bike.
they made a lt250s later in its life span but those are even harder to find. i like the small bore 4 strokes, they climb hills pretty good but need to be widened, they are tiny and tipy.

hmmm ok, Its not for me, i have a blaster and a polaris scrambler. Just thought it was a good deal for an extra quad to have around for friends and my younger brother..
they are a really nice trail quad and have a sh*t ton of tourque but there slow, and idk about you guys but i really like the kicker where it is
