Im looking to purchase another quad when taxes come. Wondering if there's any newer 2 strokes around the 400-450 or more cc range? I have option to buy my dads Yfz450 with upgrades, which i probably will if i cant find anything. I really dont want a 4stroke though.

I myself like the 250r alot also.How about a trike?tecate3,tri-z,atc 250r? Or if it's a quad how about a tecate4,lt500? I own a few 84 tectae 3's that I am slowly,very slowly restoring.lol If and when I decide to buy a nice 4 stroke I will purchase a tpc trikes 450r.

I love my banshee , its my second wife. Its fast as hell , suspention is not the best and not comparable to a 450 . But for power , theres nothing else like it!

Well- what kind of riding do you do? Tight trail riding? Open fields? Dunes? MX?

My 2cents:

The 250r has the best geometry-thats why you see so many hybrids with 250r frames (or- aftermarket 250r frames - since the late 80's frames are.. 20+ years old.) :)

The banshee is fast- straight line fast.

450 4 strokes are good all around- tight woods- open fields- dunes- mx-
The yfz is kind of smaller than i like- (unless its the yfzr)-

I found the quad i liked just by going out and sitting on them all - and test rides :D
