that engine that was in last thread? coz i thought it was broken. mine was the exact same but i wasn't buying a crankcase i ended up hooking a spring over the clutch arm and attatched it to the frame and it worked that way a few months back but i recently changed my top end gasket and now for some reason my clutch is working with that part on the crankcase. i adjusted my clutch inside the cover to its max

Could you possibly show me a pic I can't seem to get the clutch right now

i think i have a picture of my spring im using but can't tell you where to get one as i found it in my grandads shed lol

i can get a better picture tomorrow just i was actually taking a picture of my sprocket when i took this!lol but my clutch is working without the spring for some reason but i hooked it up anyway as if it fails it has it to fall back on. but adjust your clutch inside your engine turn screw clockwise to its max while holding your clutch lever(need 2 people) then if required adjust at handlebars.

Adjusting it properly and holding tension on the release arm are two seperate issues. Extra spring like he used or a fair amount of JB weld

yeah i was planning on getting mine welded at the time but i wanted out so done the thing with the spring i still had to adjust it. not saying i done it the correct way but that was how i did mine and it works fine. if you have the money i would just get it welded or get another used crankcase as i will be getting one eventually. but the spring i used will do until it snaps or i have money to spare on a crankcase just don't fancy putting $100 on a crankcase when i can buy other parts i need lol.
