Was out riding my 1996 blaster, as I was riding a pop was heard and then it shut off. Engine cranks over so I pulled out the clutch cover and found aluminum shavings and a good finger tip size of aluminum. At this point I dont know what I should do as tearing it down or what parts to get.

The only wat to figure out what you need IS by tearing it down. Either get a Clymers Repair Manual or find the PDF on here. The finger size piece sounds like a finger off the clutch basket.
