Airbox Lid

What's the scoop on the airbox lid? My blaster doesn't have one, I bought it like that. Should I be concerned about dust/dirt/mudd/water getting in there? What's the benefit of running without it?

ur engine is starving for air, thats why everyone removes there airbox lid

It's not bad for it if it is off, but I tend to notice bogging down low on my bike with the lid off, but with it on it has instant response.

I was thinking about getting one of those. They're about 20 bucks. Does anyone have one? Is it worth the 20?

i have a k&n air filter with a prefilter on it would it be dangerous for my engine if i took the lid off? as far as dirt and water? and i do mild woods riding not much mud

I have a stock one, a stock one with holes drilled in it, and a K&N air filter.

check the signature. i have one and like it. if you dont do much mud you should be fine w/out an airbox lid. you'll have to rejet when you take it off.
