Alright so I installed my dam reeds an I was waiting on the carb kit got the carb kit! Went to do a leak test an it's leaking bad! It will only pump to 6 psi an loses all air once I shut the compressor off! I sprayed the whole motor with dish soap an water it's leaking at the cage! I already put perma gasket on it an sealed it down! The gaskets holding good ad I can't get the Rees block out ( I haven't pulled to hard because it seems that the gasket is workin)

What's my next step to seal this Rees block up!

Remove, clean off re-apply sealant! And make sure it's also not coming out the exhaust port another commom place

Sprayed the exhaust port everything is sealed I guess I'll redo the Sealant now make sure everything's together nice an good! An test again tommorrow I'll rebuild the carb today tho

well when you pull it apart inspect everything really well. look for scratches or raised portions that might be keeping it from sealing. how long did it dry before you tried to do the leak down?

Overtightening of the bolts can cause the cage to warp.

They too should be tightened little by little, diagonally and incrementally.

I let it dry for like 5 days or so.... It wasn't leaking at the cage it was leaking at the intake I took it off put copper perma gasket between it an the cage it's dryik I'll leak test tomorrow!

Now adjusting the carb is giving me a fit oh well I'll get her boys, no matter how much I Bend the tang I can't get the needle jet to raise out of the seat
It's inside the seat way way to low! If this kid never touched my bike I'd be a hell of a lot better off!

well it doesn't raise out of the seat very much. just enough for teh fuel to flow. if your float height is set properly at 19-21mm it will work fine. assuming you have a stock carb

Yes I no the very tip of the the needle, rubber peice should jus come out the seat to allow fuel on right?
Mines like half way inside the seat when the float height is 22mm
