well today i finished taking my blaster apart down to the frame.
my frame has tons of rust and chipping paint, so i might sandblast and pc it or sandblast and rustolium it or just rustolium it.
well anyway i realized my frame looks bent so i was thinking:

if i am going to have to replace my frame are there any lighter aftermarket frames available?? and can i have this new frame imprinted with my old vin number so i do still have a valid title for this quad and have it registered and discard the old frame?

here are sum pics of my frame let me know if its bent

if it still feels fine id just stick with this one, i would put your frame in a strip tank instead of sandblastin it cause you can very easily miss a part when sandblasting and that could ruin the whole paint job

an aftermarket frame, if u can get one, would cost thousands, proally around 3 grand

You can get a new one from Yamaha still, but its around 600.00 dollars depending on how greedy your stealership is, I know thats why I bought a used one and replaced my bent one. The dealership can put the VIN # on it for you. Just keep the MSO for that new frame. I saw a couple years ago that someone was selling aftermarket custom race frames for the blaster and it was around 3500 dollars but its not on that websight anymore so I guess they dropped them since Yamaha stopped making the Blaster. Good luck that frames def bent, even if you could straighten it back I would not trust the frame as it will inherently be weak were you bent it back. Goodluck

part it out and sell me the goodies
lol

NEVER!!! my brother gave me this and im fixing it up nice and making it into a "250R" blaster (cuz he always wanted a 250R) and im giveing it back to him when he comes back from floridia to ny next summer or xmas or the following spring

why do u hate me?

well... i don't hate you.. i hate that you say things that you don't know for sure... we've had tons of times that people give misinforming info... and it caused problems for people...

when we stated that a 250r motor is a bolt in motor... you said "noo waaay" which.. is a false statement... because it does bolt in... get your facts straight before posting unless you are saying something like "i think, i dont think"

yea im with stryder on this one, if ur not sure, make sure that u tell everyone ur not sure
