aftermarket carb kit problems

i got vittos tors eleminator kit, installed it taped and threaded idle hole installed idle screw. but now it wont idle at all. i have to hold the throttle to keep it running. i check and the slide is hitting the idle screw so i know im deep enough. thoughts anybody?

you have to adjust the idle screw to get it to idle

what year blaster ? need more info. if its an 03+ did you jump the thumb throttle switch ?

its a 95 blaster

weather the idle screw is in or out it doesnt change anything

what should the air mixture screw be set at 1 and a half?

did you put the slide in the right way? there is a right way and a wrong way it goes in . and hopefully you tapped the correct boss on the choke side of the carburetor ? Have you cleaned the carb ? taken the choke out and cleaned , cleaned all the passages with cleaner and blew air through them ? any other mods to the blaster? intake? you change anything at all?

no i dont have any other mods, i didnt clean the bowl but i did last week when i rebuilt the carb. and yes i put the idle screw on the choke side. i do have a slight exhaust leak, but i had the leak berfore when the tors was still on and it would idle just fine.

maybe some shavings got down in the bowl i will clean it again and see what happens

Lets say he installed everything correctly ,which he did! what may be something else that could keep his quad from idle ? fuel? air in the line possibly or?
