I have been searching for an aftermarket clutch boss and pressure plate but with no luck. Is there something in the aftermarket world for me? I can't believe the oem clutch boss busted on an close to stock quad, i dont even ride hard.

i use the stock components and have no problems with my 240 ported/stroked.try hinson if you want something better.
I have been doing that, all i can find is billet clutch baskets, and after market clutch kits. Non of which have an upgrade from the stock clutch boss and pressure plate. All I can find is oem, and i was hoping to find one that wont fail like mine has.
Hinson only has clutch baskets available for the blaster, no clutch boss or pressure plates.

i was pretty sure they sold them i thought you could get them all together as one unit but i could only find clutch baskets for the blaster also. maybe yamaha still has a hold on those so nobody can make them. i ran into that problem before looking for a ignition plate for a 77 honda odyssey. honda discontinued them so i tracked it to the company that originally made them and they had lots on the shelf but honda wouldn't release them to be sold.
try barnett .... or rock mountain atv.. i found a tusk clutch set with hd springs for $41 bucks, and they offerd a/m pressure plates and baskets for my cr ... im sure they have something listed for blasters
Just took a look and nothing. im lead to believe there is no a/m bosses or pressure plates for the blaster
I searched for awhile for you and found nothing either. get an oem and see if it does it again. you might be able to find someone to custom machine one for you but it's going to be a little money. alot of students in cnc programs could do it for you maybe if you can find someone.
Thanks for trying, im sure the old age of the quad and its lack of maintenance was the cause of failure. its a 1996 and im next to positive it still has the original piston....
