i have a toomey silencer i want to repack it people are telling me to repack it with steel wool .............what is the advantage of packing the silencer with steel wool will i get better performance and how much louder is it going to get?

if it was me i wouldn't use steel wool, i would just go to a dealer and use fiberglass packing, cause when i repacked my old silencer it was cooked in no time after a couple good rides with a good about of WOT riding..
