99 blaster wont start backfires

i let my friend drive my bike we where going through some marshy mud by a lake and it jus stopped tried kicking it a few times changed the plug nothing any one no what could be wrong

The wires may have been wet. or you may have corroded the pickup coil if it got covered in muck

same thing happened to me. was riding one day and went through some water and mud then it just stopped. take off your crankcase cover off and see if there is water, mud, just sh*t in there and clean it out. cleaned mine out and started on the 2nd kick

i had the case off and let it dry out for a week someone told me it might be the timing key

with the backfiring it sounds like you could have a carb problem.. or a cracked reed, (let us know what you find after you check)

well i found out what was wrong with it. i gave it a compression check it was at 60 so the top end came off my rings where broke and my piston cracked im gonna rebuild it tomorrow probly oh and my reeds are a little bent but im gonna run them for a bit

thats why you dont let friends ride your blaster. who do you think caused my 400 dollar bottom engine job recently? ...

it was my fault any way im preety sure i rushed mixing the gas in the morning
