I am new to the forum and I am sure that this thread seems like a broken record to most of you, but I need help.
I have had my blaster for 4 years. When I bought it I rebuilt the carb and put a new air filter on it. The last time I went to ride it it cranked on 3 kicks and idled fine, but won't take any throttle. It just dies at any movement of the throttle, but will fire right back up with 1 kick and idle. I put new reeds in it and cleaned the air filter. I also removed the pipe to make sure it and the silencer is free flowing. I also check the piston and cylinder with the pipe off, all that looks great. I didn't check the compression, but it feels good and it ran fine before. I have read some about tors, but I am not really sure what it does. I unplugged the tors box that is on top of the carb and the engine wouldn't fire. Plugged it back up and it fired right up, but won't take any throttle still. Is there a way to disable the tors without buying the eliminator kit that I read about? If I was sure that the tors was the problem then I wouldn't mind spending the money on the eliminator kit, I only have about $400 in this thing and don't won't to spend any more money than I have to.
Thanks in advance for any help.
