94 kawasaki 750sx jet ski

im assuming check over everything just like you wuold a fourwheeler make sure everything works like the jet that pumps the water and all that take it for a test run that will be the determining factor

ok thank u
the guy said that it will need a battery and the carb rebuilt(he has the rebuild kit just never got around to putting it on) he also lives near a lake so i may just bring my swim trunks lol

never buy a ski without testing it.. i have bought more then one that has sunk..
be sure to check the hub that goes form the inside of the ski to the outside.. meaning where the shaft runs through the hull.. had two ski's have bad seal here and sink on me.. check the compression.. its a 2stroke motor so do the same tests you would on a blaster.. good luck man those ski's are hard to drive and learn on but once you get it they are really fun.. i traded my standup for this blaster..

ok thanks man i'll be sure to check those out

you'd probably be better with a sit down ski for your first.
be sure to cheack all the normal things you would look for in a bike/quad/car ect.

+1 on doing a water test, and I suggest trying a sit-down first as well. They aren't as easy as it looks. Again, WATER TEST any jetski. There are issues you may not see and you don't want problems out on the water. Unlike a broken down quad, you won't be walking back unless you're Jesus.

Look up the specs on clearance between impeller and wear ring. A powerful motor with a bad jetpump won't get you anywhere.

I went through a jetski phase a couple years ago and did a bare-hull rebuild on both a Polaris 780 sit-down and a Kwak JS550 standup. The light and nimble 2 strokes are a blast and much more fun than the big and heavy 4-stroke boats of today. Someday I'll get back into it and build up a Yamaha Wave Blaster2. We've got awesome wave jumping conditions around here on the beaches. I:I

last year I had a tigershark 1000 with port and polish and bigger carbs that thing was fast...i would get a sitdown if i where you for a first ski

I had a 1200 Yamaha triple last summer that my dad and I rebuilt. The guy said it would hit almost 70. The fastest I ever got was 58, which is still hauling on the water. I Was disappointed that it wouldn't hit 70 though. It had aftermarket exhaust, ported, different head and carbs. That thing sucked the sh*t out of gas though. The first time we took it out we used about 15 gallons of gas in 2 hours. The females love them though.
