Ok so I just bought a 93 blaster. It has hot hod ras, and crank, wiesco piston, all balls main bearings and seals, 2mm oversize reed cage 36mm keihin carb and the PO said heavy cylinder modification.

Now that you know what it has done to it maybe you can help me. Ive had it two days now, ran great up till now. I was riding hit the throttle and it started to die, no matter what I did I couldnt get it to keep running and now It wont start at all. It turns over fine. I pulled the plug cleaned it, nothing. Put in a new plug still nothing. Checked for spark it has blue spark but how big is the spark suppose to be? looked faint to me compared to a car plug.

the plug has no fuel on it at all, so I pulled the carb apart, its all shiny and new, nothing was dirty floats looked fine, full of gas.

I checked compression, it was 150psi.

Im stumped:-/

and before anyone asks yes the tank is full and the gas lever is on

A reed may have broken or chipped, or you may have devoloped an air leak.

Pull the reed cage out and check, then leak down test it when you have re assembled it.

it may be a plugged jet hole in your carb. All it takes is a small bit of debris to clog a small port. Everything may look new and shinny but you never know. Also check the coil and ensure your getting the right amount of spark flow. Some is not enough. and finally check your TORS switch. It may be causing issues (Thats if you still have it on your bike). Just running through my steps to ensure a bike will fire.

Mine was being fired with Starting fluid when i got it. Thats the only way they guy could make it fire. turned out to be a plugged port like 1/62 of an inch in size.

Just a random ramble of thoughts... Hope it works for you

I havent had a chance to do a leak down test, but compression test was good.

I took apart the carb last night and the jets where clean, Could see right through them

Is your wire to your coil hooked up good and have you checked your wiring because when I first got mine its did the same it had a brain box dead and the coil wire came off

Did a leak down test, I found cracks on the bottom of the cylinder, so thats the issue lol leaking pretty damn bad. I ordered big bore cylinder kit that comes with bigger sleeve, gaskets and wiesco matched piston and wrist pin. Hopefully will have it running this weekend
