it should sound like a regular shock, maybe a little squeeky if you put your ear up to it.(hahaha j/k, nice deal)
'87 shocks are three inches longer than blaster shocks.
that is why i chose an '86 .. only one inch longer.
so, you can expect your quad to be sitting up three inches higher in the back, unless you are planning on using it for something else.

The shock itself is not 3 inches longer... It just makes the back sit higher... Think about it, a stock Blaster shock has like 3 inches of travel, right? But the rear end will travel about 7.1 inches, from the lowest point to the highest point. So the fact that it sits up 3 inches higher doesn't mean the shock itself is 3 inches longer. It's actually only about 1.5 inches longer.
