its a pain in the ass bro,i just registered one as a "homemade" trailor,you gotta send letters and sh*t to the trenton DMV,and its just a headache,took me like 3weeks to get mine done.

If you have the seller hand write you a bill of sale and get it notarized. you are set. Just walk into the dmv and pay your tax and your reg fee. there's your plates and your good to goI:I
