yes it is a def upgrade from stock. I have a honda 450r and I love it. I think it's a bit softer than the ex shock. you will need bushings to make it fit and kenoconnorracing makes them for a great price. he is a member on here
exactly the same, except for the clearence issue with that frame tab i mentioned in the other thread.
I went from a factory blaster shock wich was so stiff and unforgiving that within a half hour time my back was on fire.
Switched to a 400ex shock on full soft with preload all the way out and I can ride all day with out a hint of back pain.
With that said, this is the best mod hands down that I've done yet.
You will not regret it.
