That's about it. Can I make a 4 wire (pre 03) stator work with a 5 wire (03+) wiring harness.
If so how? Just ground the extra wire?

I am trying to swap motors between a pre '03 and an '06 blaster. Both engines work, I understand what to do regarding grounding the newer stator. But what about the older motor into the newer harness?
Does it just stay disconnected from the harness since it was never required on the older motor?
