I have a 2004 blaster, just replaced the motor, carb, and cdi box. Motor came off of a running bike. When I try to kick start it the bike acts like it wants to fire but will not run and I am out of ideas. It is getting spark at the plug and plenty of gas any other ideas would be gladly looked into.

Definitely check the jetting and make sure that you have it dialed in correctly. Seriously sounds like a jetting issue. If not then check the reeds, and make sure that your mixing your gas correctly (if you removed the oil injection)

tors and parking brake < remove completely
and reeds are the first things i'd check
also...click the troubleshooting guide link at the bottom of my sig below

I have checked everything that has been suggested and a few other things and I think we have come to the conclusion that the stator is bad, we have spark only at times and it is a weak spark at that, flywheel is in good shape, but the coils on the stator look like they could be in better shape. Will try a replacement and see if it works.
