2003 Blaster will not stay idle after start.

The blaster starts right up on the first kick and runs seemingly great, the only problem I am encountering is that as soon as I let go of the throttle it turns off.
Just the slight touch on the throttle keeps it on.
After further searching, I read a few threads where there was mention of a throttle switch next to the top brake lever.

Update: I took off the cover and removed the switch and now it stays idle.

Should I remove the switch? What is the best way to go about doing this?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your talking about the TORS switch. There are threads on here about removing the whole tors system but there are to different ones depending on year, I think its in the diy section. That normally doesn't mess with your idle I don't think

I just saw your post in the other thread, is it running better with the "choke" engaged. If so could be an airleak.

I read a few posts about the tors system and I think you are right, it may be that.

At the moment I don't want to go through the hassle of removing the whole system, since It looks like I will need to buy a kit to replace the throttle cable and the carburetor. It seems to be working fine as long as the switch is disengaged.
