2003 Blaster revs wide open with throttle released.

My 2003 Blaster starts and runs fine for about 3 minutes then the engine revs to full speed even with the throttle released. The kill switch and the key will not turn it off. The only way to shut it down is to open the choke. What could cause this?

What oil mix do you use?

I'm pretty sure you have an air leak. It could be from the main seals suckin air, a leak around your carb joint, or base gasket. This will cause a lean condition thats dangerous for your motor. I wouldn't even start it again without finding out whats up.
