2002 Blaster

I just bought a 2002 yamaha blaster. When i got it the guy i got it from said the float is cracked therefore it will not run. I took the carb apart and the float seams to look okay and work properly. It seams to be loosing compression by the cylendar head but am not sure. question is will a cracked float cause you to loose compression? Or could it be the cylendar head itself?? Please help very frustrated Thanks

Is there any quick way to tell if the piston is blown without taring apart everything??

compression test. leakdown test. check the fuel flow then check the air flow then get back to us
