hi people. if someone could please help me i would be appreciate it. the rear brakes on my 2001 yamaha blaster dont work i was going to change the brake pads but cannot get the old ones out. does anyone know if theres a pin or screw or whatever holding them in ? thanks :)

Been a while since I messed with stock rear. IIRC, they should come right out. Might be corroded. If the pads are shot just pry them out careful not to booger the cali. Might have to clean it with brake clean & wire brush. Be sure to remove the rotor hub and clean the splines well. Little bit of caliper grease or antiseize on the splines also. replace the boots if bad.

there fixed it, lol

In the picture #9 is a plug that comes out to allow you to push the fixed pad out. Pop the plug and spray some PB Blaster in there and let it sit, it should push out.

I agree. I got the awk08 GSXR rear brake setup on mine. Works great and problem free braking. It's hard to go fast if your afraid you can't stop.

my rear brakes dont work either, i aint scared of stopping my front ones i can lock up, and if all else fails just bail I:I
