i belive there should be a hose on what looks to be a crank case vent. should there be?

and i just noticed, the guy before me that removed the oil injection didnt block off the nosel where the oil goes into the carb. im not positive what it is, but it is brass like the gas inlet but a smaller diametre, on the other side of the carb at the back. what should i do? it ran fine before the bearing went so i dont think it was an issue but i think i should do something.

its not good if your carb was sucking in air through the oil feed hose.
Wonder if that what blow your low end.

Good luck and hope you solve your issues with blaster

no..the inlet on the bottom back of the carb is your overflow! the one on the left side standing in front of the bike, about mid ways up on the carb is for the oil! and yes the inlet on the crankcase should have a hose that goes all the way up to the front of the bike under the hood, where the tors brain is at!!!

the carb has an overflow tube, this hole is were ur describing it. and how could that have blown my bottom end? (if you consider a bad bearing blown...)

For sure could have done it if its the oil feed hose.

On my blaster theres a vent on case but it doesnt run up to front under the hood.
Its just a plug like thing. So Hmmmmm

89 custom, if you are sitting on your quad, on the right side of the carb, will be 2 outlets. One is cast (same color and material as the rest of the carb, and one is brass. The Brass nipple is the oil feed inlet, and it needs to be plugged off if your premixing oil instead of using the oil pump. This could cause damage to the engine if left open, because it could let in dirt, and it will also affect the mixture, letting in more air, more than likely making it run WAY lean, and Leaner is Hotter, and more heat is just BAD.

Hopefully this simply and dirty explanation is understandable.
