Any help would be appreciated (as u can see , idk about blasters)

Thanks !! I:I

Yes u should deffinitly get an oil block off kit and ull have to premixed after u install that . U came to the right place this forum is great !

Yes, you need to premix 4 ounces of oil to every gallon of gas (32:1) or 3 ounces of oil per gallon (50:1). I think most people on here use 32:1 to be safe. DO NOT trust your oil pump, it WILL fail and you WILL be stuck with a blown engine. You don't HAVE to put a block off kit on it, you can take the gear and lines off of the pump, take the oil tank off, and silicone the holes where the hoses go through the engine cover (to keep dirt and water out), that's what I did and it works perfect. Good luck with the new Blasty.

Thanks.. i think il need it !

I know everyone says to do the block off but if you're new to 2strokes, I'd hold off for a while.

I've been told from people who work at the dealership that the only bikes that come in with a blown top end are ones with the blockoff kit installed. They say they've never seen the pump fail and never seen a blown top end with the pump.....probably because it gives too much oil, haha.

Have you ever seen that small 2 stroke oil in plastic bottle (also comes in a pouch), that says "mix contents with 1 gallon of gas. Safe for use in all 2 stroke engines.". Would something like that be safe to run thru a Blaster? I've used it in my chainsaw and snow blower without a problem, but they wont see half of the use and abuse that the Blaster will. Ever see that? Whats your thoughts on using it in a quad?

The pump doesn't fail, the GEAR fails.

i would probably go with a popular brand just to be safe. i run lucas semi synthetic and never had any problems, i dont know what the difference is between synthetic and semi-synthetic is tho...

alos if you are gonna block off the oil pump here is the thread that helped me when i did it. http://www.blasterforum.com/engine-13/oil-injection-removal-17034/

I'd definitely recommend blocking off the oil pump, its pretty easy and just one less problem to worry about it the future. I personally had the oil system stop and me and it caused some problems, which led to me needing a rebuild.
