My rear brake system is the original caliper. It sucks. Ive been on ebay and reading on here about different ways to get hydraulic brakes. Can someone explain all the steps and material I will need to get rid of these sh*tty mechanical rears.

the most simplest bolt on way? just buy a 03+ rear brake assembly (caliper, lines, disc, pedal, master cylinder) and an 03+ carrier....thats what i did. change the carrier bearings since you'll be in there too. you will have to fab some mounting brackets and have them welded to your frame for linkage to actuate the master cylinder... or do what i did also and just replace the frame to an 03+... lol (guess its not really all that simple after all)

Fasterblaster is totally right, the rear "shorty" brake cable is a big difference over the stock long one that goes to the left handlebar, ALOT easier than modding a pre 2003 blaster for the hydraulic rears. I bought my short brake cable off ebay for really cheap, it was a motion pro I believe.
