i have a 03 blaster that bogs a bit at the beggining of each gear. but if i give it enough trottle it will clear up. how can i fix this? there is no air filter cover and it has a dg exhaust. the main jet is a 240.

plug chop to confirm jetting, leak test. then tutn the airscrew out 1/4 turn. only if jetting and leak test come back good. i think ur running lean.
thanks. though compression is great. we just did the piston and rings. and i already have my air screw turned out a lot. the 1 1/2 out wasnt working out. the quad bogged a lot and wouldnt clear up. it sounded more like a four stroke and i messed with the adjustment a bit until i got to to where it is now. its about 5 1/4 to 5 1/2 turns out
alrightt reset ur carb. and put a bigger main jet in there. and run a leak test. not a compression test.
1.5 turns out
260 or so
3rd needle clip position
and plug chop.
or just plug chop now to see wht u got.
#240 main is too small without the lid.
Start at #270 and plug chop to confirm.

Does napa sell leak down testers? I don't have one.. But I did the chop and the plug has a very light tan ring
post a pic of the plug.... did u do the plug chop correctly? 1-6th WOT for 7 seconds? then kill er and coast to a stop?
