i have a after market high output stator. stage 2 reeds. bored over 50. now i have to put gas in carborator to start it. and runs hot. blue flames out of the exust. do i have to rejet the carborator for the blaster to run. the motor has been rebuilt. new wire harnest. how do i know that i put the clutch together right? is there different thicknest on the clutch pads. can you use a bebee for the clutch ball. why does it seem that the motor runs high before you can shift without it bogging out. if anyone can help. please respond. thanks.

What other mods are done? Has the timing been messed with? You should NOT be seeing any kind of flame coming from the exhaust. Sounds like you are either running extremely lean or you are having pre-ignition, which will not hesitate to blow the motor.

there are no other mods. far as i know the timing hasnt been messed with. how i do i adjust it where it dont run lean.

clean that carb, leakdown test it, then plug chops before you run it for too long and go boom

all of them phrases above are searchable on here, read and learn them, or you'll be askin for new piston advice

okay i forgot to say that the exhaust is after market to its a pro circuit platinum and a pro circuit 304 and it has a stock jet in it so what size jet do i need. and ill do a leakdown test this weekend thanks

when you installed the stator was there markings on it, you could have messed up the timing when you installed that, it really seems like a timing issue if you are blowing flames out the exhaust and depending on the ignition timing it could be requiring much more fuel to start which is why it takes so long for it to start, make sure you are jetted properly and do the leak down to see if you have a major problem already

Pull the carb apart and clean it. While it's apart look at the main and pilot jet, numbers are on them. Let us know ALL of your mods, oil type, gas oct, oil mix ratio. Someone will tell you if you're close. Next pull the flywheel and check the timing. See if it has offset timing key. If it has adjustable plate tell us what it's set at.

the main jet is 230. the stator is you cant adjust it.the mods i have is a pro circuit exhaust a mongoose high output stator the motor is board out 60 over and stage 2 reeds

i did a leakdown test and it was all good. i took the stage 2 reeds out and the flames stop for a little bit and i got the stage 2 jets from yamaha and nothing changed i realy need help

start around a 300/290 main for that pipe/mods, then do a wide open throttle 5/6th gear plug chop, search for "plug chop" and learn to do it, it's the only way to tell for sure
